Most backyards get used for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon and then go dark. That's a lot of wasted space. When we design an outdoor living space, we think about how it performs at all hours - not just when the sun is up.

This patio is a good example of what that looks like in practice. The layout features a large main paver field connected to a circular fire pit area. The two zones work together as one cohesive space, which gives you room to spread out or pull in close depending on the night.

The detail that really sets this one apart is the inlaid lighting ring built directly into the pavers around the fire pit. It defines the seating area in a way that feels intentional - not just functional. Add in the surrounding outdoor lighting, and the whole space stays usable and inviting well after dark.

That combination - solid paver work, a built-in fire pit, and lighting designed into the hardscape itself - is what separates a backyard people actually use from one that just looks nice in the daylight. We put a lot of thought into how these elements work together before the first paver goes down.

Good outdoor living spaces aren't just about square footage. They're about atmosphere. When the lighting is right and the fire is going, people don't want to go inside. That's exactly the kind of space we set out to build every time.
