September 11th is a day that means something. We didn't want to let it pass without doing something - even something small. So we loaded up some Krispy Kreme boxes and made stops at the Champlin and Dayton Fire Departments to drop them off and say thank you.
It wasn't a grand gesture. No speeches, no photo ops planned in advance. Just a box of doughnuts and a chance to shake some hands and show some appreciation for the people who show up every single day - regardless of what that day might bring.
We work in these communities. We drive the same streets, we know the same neighborhoods. The folks at these fire departments are our neighbors. That matters to us, and we think it should matter to any local business that calls this area home.
The families behind first responders don't get nearly enough credit either. They send their person out the door every shift not knowing exactly what the day holds. That kind of quiet strength deserves to be recognized too.
We're proud to be part of the Champlin and Dayton communities - not just as a landscaping company, but as people who genuinely care about what happens here. If you get a chance today, find a way to say thank you to someone who serves.
